These lessons are for adults who will usually have played at least a little beforehand. There are a limited number of spaces allocated to dedicated beginners. The lessons are always lively, fun, hard work and are designed to get you thinking and following the practices of jazz musicians. You will never be taught to play by rote and there is an emphasis of learning music as a language.

Shan's unique teaching style is concerned with "musical ingredients" i.e. understanding how music works rather than playing one piece after another without musical understanding.

Shan brings his practical experience as a musician to the learning process. His students range from complete beginners to other performers, composers & piano teachers.

London lessons are 1-2-1 and are taught in the centre of London (Off Oxford St) and in Pinner (NW London)

Webcam Lessons with clear 2-way audio and smooth video

Shan's Jazz piano lessons on webcam are Live 1-2-1 and can be taken from anywhere in the world using your computer, a relatively inexpensive webcam and some software which won't cost you anything. Shan is 1st person anywhere in the world to teach jazz piano lessons on Webcam to students worldwide.

Does it really work?
YES absolutely! Many people ask this question before trying it but Shan has students all over the world, many of whom have already been having webcam lessons with him for a number of years now.
